By using Precision EQ rubber and mixing it properly, the life of your footing will increase. Long term benefits such as low maintenance cost, improved porosity, improved shock absorption and decreased glare are also realized.

On the Level works closely with OTTO Sport international supplier in the United States. There are many advantages of this system. The First and most important benefit is that the OTTO system provides concussion absorption by up to 40 percent (Scientific study of the German Association for Technical Inspection. http://www.ottosport.de/public/en/products/otto-perforated-mat (TÜV).)
Another benefit of using the OTTO system is better drainage for your arena. Water will drain through the holes in the mat into its stone bed which then will carry that water into a drain away from the arena. This system allows water to drain immediately. This system is unique in that you don’t have to wait for all the water to leave your arena to start riding, you can be riding while the mats and stone base are draining all the absorbed water from your footing.
One other additional benefit of the OTTO system is that the thickness of your base layer can be significantly reduced. As some of the pictures below illustrate, these mats can be used for both indoor & outdoor arenas alike.
Adding fiber to an arena not only helps cushion the footing, but it also increases the stability and reduces the shearing effect that sand alone can have. One characteristic of fiber is that it tends to join together and overlay one another. When this process happens, it helps stabilizing your arena footing. In addition to adding cushioning to your footing, the moisture retention of the fibers reduces the amount of watering needed and helps trap small dust particles.
